Dorel and VanBerlo have a long-standing relationship, which started with the design of two car safety seats for the brand Safety 1st and continued with Maxi-Cosi seats. Over the years, the R&D members of Dorel and VanBerlo have built up a great deal of expertise in the area of development and engineering of child safety seats, resulting in many innovations in ease of use and child safety.

The latest challenge was the FamilyFix system, a new safety solution which consists of a base, which is firmly connected to the car chassis by Isofix connectors, two seats for consecutive age ranges and accessories. Pebble (in-house Dorel development) and Pearl are easily interchangeable on the FamilyFix base. The result is a very innovative child safety seating system that meets Dorel's ambitious requirements and surpasses the competition.
