The IndustrieForum Hannover has just announced the winners of the iF product design award 2010. VanBerlo was awarded no less than three prizes. VanBerlo was successful in three different categories.
The following products were rewarded: 
Leisure and lifestyle: Batavus BUB
The functional simplicity and iconic personality of the paperclip inspire the Batavus BUB design. The BUB (Batavus Utility Bike) transforms the legendary “granny bike” to a completely new city bike with the same characteristics as before: a comfortable, durable and lightweight construction, with extra wide tyres.
Transportation design: Maxi-Cosi car seat family
The FamilyFix system is a new safety solution which consists of a base, which is firmly connected to the car chassis by Isofix connectors, and two seats for consecutive age ranges. Pebble (in-house Dorel development) and Pearl are easily interchangeable on the FamilyFix base.
Buildings: Alusta Thallo
To feel good and healthy in your own home means always having good ventilation and
fresh air for you and your family. To this end, VanBerlo developed a new wall fan for Alusta, that will be sold commercially for domestic installation.
The iF product design award is a prestigious international design prize which is awarded in 16 different categories. For the iF product design awards 2010, 2486 products were submitted from 39 different countries. 778 products have been awarded an iF product design award 2010.
